n: a low-dip angle (nearly horizontal) reverse fault along which a large displacement has occurred. Some overthrusts, such as many of those in the Rocky Mountain Overthrust Belt, represent slippages of many miles.

n: a dip-slip fault along which the hanging wall has moved upward relative to the footwall. Also called a thrust fault.

a type of reverse fault in which the inclination of the plane of the fault is not highly deviated.
