n: false influence on well logging measurement caused by the borehole environment, e.g., diameter, shape, rugosity, type of fluid, or mud cake.

n: a measure and record of limestone porosity. The log is produced using one source and two detectors instead of just one detector, as an uncompensated neutron log does. A compensated neutron log is less influenced by borehole effects than an uncompensated neutron log. See borehole effect.
