n: CaO, the main component of lime. White cubic crystal or powder. Mainly used for manufacturing calcic drill fluid.

n: a freshwater drilling mud using calcium oxide (lime) or calcium sulphate (gypsum) to retard the hydrating qualities of shale and clay formations, thus facilitating drilling. Calcium-treated muds resist salt and anhydrite contamination but may require further treatment to prevent gelation (solidification) under the high temperatures of deep wells.

n: a caustic solid that consists primarily of calcium oxide (CaO). Many forms of CaO are called lime, including the various chemical and physical forms of quicklime, hydrated lime, and even calcium carbonate. Limestone is sometimes called lime.

n: commercial form of calcium hydroxide.
