n: the factor that is used to convert stock tank barrels of oil to reservoir barrels. It is the ratio between the space occupied by a barrel of oil containing solution gas at reservoir conditions and a barrel of dead oil at surface conditions. Also called reservoir volume factor.

the number of barrels of reservoir oil that shrinks to one stock tank (surface) barrel after gas breakout and light end vaporization.

the volume of reservoir gas resulting in one standard cubic foot.
