n: when leak-off test of layer, it produces pressure that lead layer fracture.

n: a gradual pressurising of the casing after the blowout preventers have been installed to permit estimation of the formation fracture pressure at the casing seat.

LOT, a drilling test. A LOT is intended to determine the point of leak-off. Compare to FIT.

n: (MASP) the maximum amount of pressure that is allowed to appear on the casing pressure gauge during a well-killing operation. This pressure is often determined by a leak-off test and if exceeded can lead to formation fracture at the casing shoe and a subsequent underground blowout or broaching.
