n: the temperature at which the vapour pressure of a liquid becomes equal to the pressure exerted on the liquid by the surrounding atmosphere. The boiling point of water is 212ﾰF or 100ﾰC at atmospheric pressure (14.7 pounds per square inch gauge or 101.325 kilopascals).
