n: (SBGD) special diverter designed to handle shallow gas kicks that occur offshore. Unlike a normal diveIter that the gas from the kick releases at d1e surface, an SBGD allows the gas to be released from the wellhead on the seafloor. Thus, the gas bypasses the rig. See diverter.
