seismic data capable of showing a three dimensional image of the reservoir. Strictly, 3-D is a closely spaced grid of 2-D seismic lines with interpolation to create a seismic cube. The cube can be sliced vertically to create 2-D lines or sliced horizontal

differences in rock – segments showing different responses when measured.

n: a seismic phenomenon that shows up on a seismic, or record, section as a sound reflection that is much stronger than usual. A bright spot sometimes directly indicates natural gas in a trap. See record section.

a specific seismic reflection that may indicate gas.

n: 1. a table that shows the capacities of, or volumes in, a tank for various liquid levels measured from the dip point or from the ullage reference point. n: A tool run on wireline that measures the diameter of the wellbore. It may be used for detecting washouts, calculating cement volumes, or detecting internal corrosion of casing.

n: A logging device for depth-correlation purposes, operated mechanically or magnetically to produce a log showing the location of each casing, tubing collar, or coupling in a well. It provides an accurate way to measure depth in a well.

n: a record made each day of the operations on a working drilling rig and, traditionally. phoned or radioed in to the office of the drilling company every morning. Also called morning report. See drillers report.

n: a profile of ascent rates and breathing mixtures that safely reduce the pressure on a diver to atmospheric after a dive. The table shows depths, bottom times, decompression stops, and total decompression times.
