n: the density of a substance at the critical temperature and pressure.

n: the highest temperature at which a substance can be separated into two fluid phases-liquid and vapour. Above the critical temperature, a gas cannot be liquefied by pressure alone.

n: The highest temperature that material divides into two-phase fluid.

The latter, however, should be used for those streams in which condensation can occur and that originate from, or are in equilibrium with, a liquid phase.

Some hydrocarbons exist naturally above their critical temperature in the reservoir;as a result, when pressure is decreased, instead of expanding to form a gas, they condense to form a liquid.
